"Filmmakers Masterclass" at St Michaels College

It's always been my goal to be able to work creatively full time. Yet, when it came to pursuing a career after school, I was still not quite sure where the creative industries would be able to take me. I felt the need to fall into something "more defined".

Since then, I've had to work it out on my own. How to operate as a sole trader, where and how to study, what jobs are out there for people like me etc. etc.

This year, for the second time running, I taught a "filmmakers masterclass" at St Michaels College, an entry level senior course that explores the fundamentals of filmmaking and photography, as well as highlighting the immense opportunities that lie in working in these fields.

It brings me so much joy to be able to offer these types of experiences and insights that would have greatly helped me navigate the space I work in today.

With the creative field being redefined everyday, opportunities in marketing growing exponentially and UGC set to become the biggest form of digested media, there has never been a more exciting time to get into the creative industies... and i want people to know about it.
